Aspiring Medical Student Left Brain-Dead After Friends Push Him into Lake: Shocking Video Emerges

A tragic incident unfolded at Lake D’Arbonne in Farmerville, Louisiana, as a group of friends pushed Christopher Gilbert, an aspiring medical student, into the water despite knowing he couldn't swim.

The shocking event, which took place on April 14, left Gilbert fighting for his life, ultimately rendering him brain-dead.

Disturbing footage captured the moment of the incident, showing the group casually watching as Gilbert struggled in the water.

Despite his desperate situation, none of the friends made any effort to rescue him. It wasn't until a bystander intervened, 10 minutes later, that Gilbert was pulled back to safety.

Gilbert's mother, Yolanda George, described her devastation upon hearing the news, emphasizing her son's promising future in the medical field.

Despite the friends' attempts to downplay the incident as "horse-play," the severity of the situation became apparent as Gilbert's health deteriorated rapidly.

The family's attorney, Claudia Payne, has condemned the actions of Gilbert's friends, demanding justice for the criminal intent displayed in the reckless act.

Gilbert, though showing cognitive responses, remains dependent on life support, with his lungs functioning at only 20% capacity.

As the family grapples with the aftermath of this senseless act, they continue to seek answers and accountability.

George's plea echoes the sentiments of many: "Why would you push my son into the lake knowing he couldn’t swim?"
