EFCC Arrests 100 'Yahoo Boys' in Enugu, Seizes Exotic Cars and Gadgets




Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have apprehended 100 suspected internet fraudsters, commonly referred to as 'Yahoo Boys'.


 The arrests occurred on Wednesday at various locations throughout the state.


The EFCC announced the operation on their official X handle, detailing that the arrests were based on actionable intelligence regarding the activities of an organized syndicate of internet fraudsters operating in Ibagwa-Nike and other parts of the Enugu metropolis.


During the raids, authorities recovered three exotic cars, numerous mobile phones, and laptops from the suspects. The EFCC stated that these individuals would be arraigned in court once the investigations are completed.
