In a bold move to equip young people with essential skills, the Imo State Government through the office of the honourable Commissioner for Rural and Urban development, Hon. Ifeanyi Oruh has described Imo state to be a HUB of hospitality and industrial revolution.
Oruh made this assertion at the one day Imo youth empowerment program organized by the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) in Imo state, on Thursday, 17th October, 2024.
Honourable Ifeanyi Oruh, Commissioner for Rural and Urban Development, used the opportunity to emphasized the government's commitment to youth involvement, encouraging active participation in the initiative.
The program, held at Immaculate Golden Hotels in Owerri, aims to empower youths with leadership skills, entrepreneurship, sales and marketing, and personal development. This aligns with the state government's vision to foster community development through empowerment programs.
On behalf of the Imo State government, Oruh expressed gratitude to NBC, represented by Mrs. Ijeoma Okoye, and acknowledged the chief leaders involved in the empowerment efforts.
He further, reaffirmed the government's support for NBC's initiatives, recognizing their vital role in enhancing local capacity.
Hon.Commissioner Oruh reiterated that Imo State is a hub of hospitality and industrial revolution, urging other companies to follow NBC's lead in supporting community and youth empowerment. He encouraged youths to absorb valuable lessons from NBC's teachings, essential for personal and professional growth.
