Recently,the amiable and friendly Executive Chairman of Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State,Hon Ifeanyi Nani, had the honour to interface with the members of the Traditional Council ( Royal Fathers) of the LGA who came out in their numbers to relate with him on issues affecting the Local Government .
The meeting was officially declared opened through a short prayer led by His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Blaise Ubah , the traditional paramount ruler of Mgbala Agwa, autonomous community. Subsequently, the Executive Chairman, presented kola nut to the Royal Fathers, as tradition demands, and was blessed by His Royal Majesty Eze Nnani Nzeribe of Oguta.
In his address, the Executive Chairman of Oguta Local Government,Hon Ifeanyi Nani, thanked the Royal Fathers for finding out time to come out, considering their tight schedules.
Hon Nani expressed his joy and happiness seeing them after a very long time in their numbers, though he has been relating with them individually.
The Chairman described the meeting as very crucial considering their critical roles in their various communities.
He maintained that the major reason for inviting them was to intimate them on the reasons behind the BAN and lifting of BAN on TOWN UNION AND YOUTHS elections in communities in Oguta Local Government Area.
In order to maintain peace and tranquility in the various communities during the festive season, the friendly Executive Chairman, banned every form of election across communities in Oguta Local Government to ensure that most communities celebrate their Christmas and New Year with utmost joy of the season.
Having lifted the ban, the Executive chairman, Hon Ifeanyi Nani urged the traditional rulers to work in synergy with other relevant stakeholders in their various communities to map out a better modalities for a peaceful and friendly election in their respective communities.
Hon Ifeanyi reiterated that communities that their elections are due or over due, should as a matter of urgency, conduct a free and fair election.
"If they are having difficulties, they should not hesitate in reaching out to me. This is mainly, for those communities, that their president generals has over stayed in office beyond the expectations of their people, or above the period of three or four years, but must be in accordance with the law. Again, president generals, that are qualified or are willing to contest for second tenure, should be allowed, if it is enshrined in their respective community constitution", the Chairman directed.
On the issue of security,Hon. Nani pleaded with the Royal Fathers to please talk to their subjects, mostly as it concerns the security of lives and properties.
He added that most criminal activities carried out in the various communities, are connected with our subjects/children.
"Without an insider in our various communities, most crime in our areas will not be successful".
He therefore called on the Royal Fathers to please caution their subjects who are working in connection with the Fulani's to please stop for the interest of their communities, because the law will definitely catch up with any person or group found in such dastardly act soon.
He equally briefed the Royal Fathers, about His discussions with His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma, regarding the Ejemekwuru / Agwa Road.
The Chairman informed the Royal Fathers that the Road has been awarded by His Excellency,Dist Senator Hope UZODINMA, assured them that work will soon commence on the Road.
Additionally, he promised to provide a palliative work ,if work didn't commence as planned.
He said that the Ejemekwuru /Agwa Road is better described than imagined, that the Road is contributing hugely in the insecurity, such as kidnapping, armed robbery, car snatching and other naferious activities. "If the Road is done, it will definitely reduce the rate of insecurity in Oguta Local Government".
Again, mainly for the good people of people of Agwa, he authoritatively informed Royal Fathers from Agwa, that after the inspection of the Agwa Divisional POLICE office by the Commissioner of police, that the Commissioner of police promised to deploy police personnel to Agwa Divisional POLICE.
"This will definitely motivate other security personnel like the Army and Navy to join the police in the fight against insecurity".
The Chairman further used the opportunity to take the royal fathers round the Council Headquarters for them to see the newly renovated administrative office block, which is 90% completion and other ongoing projects at the Council headquarters.
On behalf of the Royal Fathers, His Royal Majesty Eze Prof Dele Odigbo, the Chairman of ISOPADEC BOARD thanked the Executive Chairman,Hon Ifeanyi Nani for finding out time to interface with the Royal Fathers.
Eze Dele assured the Chairman that the Royal Fathers will go back to their respective communities and do the needful expected of them according to their respective community's constitution with the support of the relevant stakeholders in their various communities.

And His Royal Majesty Eze Nnani Nzeribe of Oguta, presiding over the royal shower of blessings on Hon Ifeanyi Nnani,the Executive Chairman of Oguta Local Government. They prayed to God to bless, protect, strengthen and grant the Executive Chairman, the needed wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of Oguta Local Government to the glory of God and humanity
