A statement signed by Hon. Barr. Frank Ugboma and made available to newsmen, disclosed that the mother of the sparkling and legal voice of Imo State 9th Assembly died on 27th January,2025 at the age of 72 years.
Hon. Ugboma regretted that death snatched his mother when he needed her most and prayed God to accept her soul in paradise.
Hear him,"my mother passed on two days after my birthday anniversary celebration.
"I celebrated my birthday on 25th January,2025, and my beloved mother came to my house in Owerri as early as 6:30 am and prayed for me. We had a good time together, and cracked jokes. She repeated what she used to tell me, that I should not take her body to mortuary anytime she passes on.
"Anytime she says that,I always try to be positive. After having good times with her, she left to her own residence. We spoke on 26th, she sent for me the following day being 27th January,2025 and unfortunately gave up the ghost in the mid hours of that day.Confusion ensued, but I comported myself.
"By the special grace of God,I reached out to my siblings, maternal uncles and other relatives who approved her interment. She was buried according to her wish and directives".
"The ebullient ex-lawmaker described his late mother as an epitome of discipline and wisdom.
"My mother was known for orderliness, discipline and neatness.
She was a bundle of knowledge.
She ran her enterprise called "Lady J" at Royce Road, Owerri, Imo State before she left to London as a midwife where she worked with St. Mary Clinic. My mother toured round the world before she died. She taught, encouraged and groomed me.
And I believe that she is now with our Lord, Jesus Christ ", Ugboma submitted.
He therefore invites friends, colleagues, associates and well-wishers to attend the occasion.
