The Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Imo South, has concluded plans to hold a five-day citywide crusade and free medical outreach in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The event, tagged “Great Redemption, Recovery, and Restoration through Jesus Christ,” will take place from Wednesday, November 12, to Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Owerri City Primary School, Wetheral Road, opposite the Imo State Stadium.
Briefing journalists in Owerri, the State Overseer of the ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Okoro, said the crusade is aimed at restoring hope, healing the broken-hearted, and bringing total redemption to all who attend.
According to him, the ministry is using the programme to reach both the spiritual and physical needs of the people through the combination of gospel preaching and free medical care.
“The word of God takes us from place to place, and the experiences we have in those places are different. When I came into Imo State in April 2008, my first programme was titled ‘Bye to Poverty.’ Over the years, we have moved from one local government to another preaching the gospel and bringing salvation to the people,” he said.
Pastor Okoro, who has been in ministry for over 40 years, noted that the forthcoming crusade would not only focus on salvation but also on community welfare through the provision of free healthcare services.
He said a team of professional doctors, nurses, and medical specialists has been mobilised to provide general health check-ups, screenings, medical consultations, and free medications throughout the duration of the crusade.
“The greatest problem of man is sin, and we are trusting God to save sinners and even criminals of all kinds if they can find their way to the crusade venue,” the cleric stated, adding that the outreach will provide both spiritual and physical healing.
The programme, which, is expected to feature anointed messages, prayers, and worship sessions by gospel artiste Israel Anyaele will be well attended by all and Sundry.
Daily activities will include a Lunch Hour with Jesus session at 1:00 p.m. and evening revival services at 4:00 p.m. Testimonies, deliverances, and soul-lifting music are also expected to highlight each session.
The organisers said the event is open to all residents of Imo State and neighbouring areas, irrespective of denomination, age, or background. Free transportation will be provided for participants from outside Owerri Municipal, while adequate security arrangements have been put in place.
Describing the crusade as both a spiritual and humanitarian intervention, Pastor Okoro said, “We are not only facing the problems of life spiritually but physically through the medical outreach. God has been faithful in performing signs and wonders, and we believe this crusade will mark another divine visitation for the people of Imo State.”
The event will climax with a special citywide Sunday devotional service on November 16, 2025, which the church said would be a day of thanksgiving and testimonies of divine healing and restoration.
The Deeper Christian Life Ministry urged the public to take advantage of the opportunity for spiritual renewal and physical healing.
Quoting from the Scriptures, Pastor Okoro concluded, “He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20), assuring that those who attend will experience God’s power of redemption, recovery, and restoration.
