Atata Promises Quality Representation, Youth Empowerment for Isu Constituency

A House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Comrade Iheme Cyprain Atata, popularly known as Ezedike, has assured the people of Isu Local Government Area of Imo State of quality representation if elected into the Imo State House of Assembly in 2027.

Speaking with journalists in Owerri at the weekend, Atata said his aspiration is driven by a passion to improve the welfare of his constituents through people-oriented programmes and effective representation.

The businessman, philanthropist, and politician stated that his exposure in  business across different parts of the world has equipped him with the experience needed to serve the people effectively.

According to him, he has already impacted lives in Isu through humanitarian services, including the provision of boreholes, educational support, cash assistance, medical aid, and support for the less privileged.

He pledged to expand such interventions if elected.

He said" if elected, I will ensure that my people get what they truly need and those things necessary for better living,”

Atata also promised to tackle insecurity and unemployment in the constituency by engaging youths in meaningful ventures and skill acquisition programmes.

“If elected, I will work towards creating a secure environment by engaging our youths positively. I want every young person to acquire one skill or another. I will also promote quality education through scholarships and other support systems,” he added.

The 2011 graduate of Imo State University (IMSU), who also described himself as a sculptor, said youth empowerment would remain one of his top priorities.

“I am a sculptor by the grace of God. I studied at IMSU Owerri and also taught at the Imo State College of Advanced Professional Studies (ICAPS) during the Rochas Okorocha administration. By God’s grace, if elected, skill acquisition programmes will receive urgent attention. I will ensure unemployed youths are engaged meaningfully, while sick and vulnerable mothers receive proper care and support,” he stated.

The NDC aspirant further expressed optimism about the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections, describing its prospects as “bright and wonderful.”
