It was Celebration Of Life at Umuonyeoka Ihitteafoukwu in Ahiazu Mbaisea Local Government Area Of Imo State as the remains of Late Lady Veronica Ngalasi Igwe who passed on at the age of 86 years was laid to rest at her husband compound.
The burial ceremony attracted dignitaries within and outside Imo State.
Preaching during the funeral service, Pastor Ikechukwu ukaegbu described death as a reality of life on earth.
Pastor Ikechukwu urged Christians to see burial as an opportunity for them to prepare themselves for life in enternity , adding that burial ceremony is another opportunity for Christians to encounter Jesus.
He described late Veronica as a devoted Christian who used her life to serve God and render humanitarian services to people around her.
In an interview with the first son of Lady Veronica, Dr Leo Igwe PhD described his late mother as a loving and caring mother, adding that she invested in everyone who came around her.
Dr Leo said that his mother was a devoted Christian who believed in practical Christianity and she held several positions in Catholic church.
Leo also described his mother as a lover of education and she contributed a lot towards the upbringing of many people around her.
He promised to sustain the good legacy of his mother especially on the area of education.
The First daughter of late Veronica, Mrs Assumpta Onyinyechukwu Ude in a tribute said that her late mother's selfless show of unconditional love towards her family and people around her was unbeatable.
Mrs Assumpta noted that her mother and father shared profound belief in the power of education and valued intellectual growth far above material possessions.
