The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nguru Nweke Ward, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, witnessed an overwhelming turnout of party faithful as leaders, stakeholders, women, youths, Special Advisers, Supervisory Councillors, President Generals, polling booth chairmen, and supporters gathered for a crucial ward meeting held at Umungakwu Hall, Nmema Ahia Uka, Nguru Nweke, Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State.
The meeting was supervised by a seven member delegation constituted and sent by the Imo State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to assess the strength of the party at the grassroots, verify the party structure, and confirm members' readiness ahead of future political activities.
The delegation was led by the Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Hon. Barrister Iheukwumere Alaribe. Other members of the delegation included former SOLAD of Aboh Mbaise, Hon. Ogechi Njoku, former Special Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Jonathan Njoku, the APC Vice Chairman in Aboh Mbaise, Hon. Emmanuel Nwanna, who represented the LGA Party Chairman, Hon. Tony, alongside other party leaders.
Speaking during the exercise, Barrister Alaribe expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout, describing it as a clear demonstration that the APC remains united, vibrant, and formidable in Nguru Nweke Ward.
According to him, he was not surprised by the impressive attendance because Nguru Nweke is the ward of the Apex APC Leader in Aboh Mbaise, Chief Charles Ogu, whose grassroots mobilisation and leadership have continued to sustain the strength of the party in the area.
He explained that the assignment was to verify that the APC structure in the ward remains intact. Following the verification, the delegation confirmed that all twenty seven ward executive members were present and fully functional. The President Generals and their executive teams across the communities in Nguru Nweke were also confirmed to be united and actively supporting the party.
The delegation further proceeded to verify the twenty eight polling booth chairmen in the ward, confirming that the polling unit structure remains intact and operational.
In addition to the structural verification, members presented their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for physical verification, a process aimed at ensuring that party members are duly registered voters and adequately prepared for future elections. The exercise was successfully concluded with an impressive level of participation and compliance.
Barrister Alaribe commended the ward executives and members for their commitment and charged them to remain steadfast and loyal to the APC.
"We are not preparing for campaigns yet, We are preparing for victory. What we have witnessed here today is highly commendable, and I will report to the State Chairman and the Local Government Party leadership that Nguru Nweke Ward remains one of the strongest, most united, and well organised wards in Aboh Mbaise," he stated.
In his remarks, the Apex APC Leader in Aboh Mbaise and Camphope Coordinator, Chief Charles Ogu, welcomed the delegation and appreciated the State APC Chairman for initiating the verification exercise.
He thanked the Executive Chairman, members of the delegation, and all party faithful for their commitment to the growth of the APC, assuring them that Nguru Nweke Ward will continue to remain a stronghold of the party.
Chief Ogu urged members to sustain the unity that has distinguished the ward over the years, remain focused on the ideals of the APC, and continue mobilising more people into the party in support of the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
He also commended Governor Uzodimma for providing purposeful leadership in Imo State and reaffirmed the unwavering loyalty of the people of Nguru Nweke to the Governor and the APC.
Also present at the meeting was the APC candidate for the Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency, Hon. Ngozie Pat Ekeji (Olaedo), whose attendance further underscored the unity and growing strength of the party in the constituency. She interacted with party members and encouraged them to remain committed to the APC, assuring them that together they would secure victory in future elections.
Former Special Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Jonathan Njoku, encouraged members to remain united and continue supporting the programmes and policies of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Representing the APC Chairman in Aboh Mbaise, Hon. Tony, the APC Vice Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Nwanna, commended the ward executives and members for their discipline, unity, and unwavering loyalty to the party.
Lady Ebonyi Adaikwe also addressed the gathering, greeting party leaders and members while encouraging them to remain proud ambassadors of the APC and continue working tirelessly for the progress of the party.
The meeting attracted the Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, the Apex APC Leader, party executives, Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers, Hon. Ngozie Pat Ekeji (Olaedo), women leaders, youth leaders, President Generals, polling booth chairmen, and a large number of APC faithful.
The successful verification of the twenty seven ward executives, twenty eight polling booth chairmen, and members' Permanent Voter Cards further demonstrated that the APC structure in Nguru Nweke Ward remains strong, united, organised, and fully prepared for future electoral victories.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous vote of confidence in the leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Governor Hope Uzodimma, the Imo State APC Chairman, and the Apex APC Leader in Aboh Mbaise, Chief Charles Ogu, as members pledged to remain loyal and work collectively towards ensuring overwhelming victories for the APC in future elections
