Emma Njoku Foundation provides humanitarian palliatives, empowers Imo indigents.

To curtail  the hardship and poverty bedeviling  citizens of the state and country at large, a Non Governmental and Non Political Organization, Emma Njoku Foundation through its founder Barr. Emmanuel Chukwunyere Njoku, has provided humanitarian palliative and empowered less privileged individuals living in Imo state.

The empowerment program held last week at Njoku's residence in Eziala  Nguru Umunneato Autonomous Community, Aboh Mbaise, Imo state, benefited not less than 20 indigent citizens of the state who were empowered in cash as start up capital for their trade and skill support grants for non payback benefit.

Speaking on behalf of the founder, the South East Coordinator of Emma Njoku Foundation, Rev. Sister Elizabeth Njoku, frowned at the present pitiable condition of the country's economy which has brought  poverty and suffering to the people, noting that the foundation is an incorporated Trustee with the Corporate Affairs Commission established in 2012 with the core mandate of impacting positively on humanity, through her poverty alleviation programmes.

She stated that the foundation is totally committed to bettering life of rural dwellers and the despondent by executing programmes of monumental impact, providing life changing opportunities and contributing meaningfully in providing enduring panacea towards a better humanity.

According to her address "it is no gainsaying the fact that the present economic hardship in Nigeria orchestrated by the rising cost of foodstuffs and general sky rocketing prices of everything in the market, have seemingly pushed great number of people to live below the poverty line. Statistics and other notable economic indices have rated Nigeria as topping many economically backward nations and decimated her citizens as a nation where suffering, poverty and death are on a geometrical increase as against the arithmetic progression of it's production and savings initiative."

"It is amidst all these hardship that Barr. Njoku, a positive minded individual sprung up from the back waters to the amazement of all to embark on uncountable giant strides to alleviate the sufferings of the common man"

She appreciated and commended the founder of Emma Njoku foundation for some of the philanthropic gestures he embarked upon in his community, such as the total re-roofing and ceiling of St. Jude's Catholic Church Nguru, lightening up of the entire, community roads and compounds with solar powered light, palliative road maintenance throughout the local government, among others.

Urging the beneficiaries to ensure they put the money given to them into good use in order to succeed and become helpers too, the Coordinator, assured of the foundation's continuous humanitarian work of affecting lives positively, especially that of indigent families, to reduce  stress and depression which can lead to untimely death by sickness and suicide if not checked.

The royal father of Nguru Umunneato Community, His Royal Highness, Eze Leo Nwokeocha, Okearugo 1 of Umunneato, Chairman Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers also commended their illustrious son, Njoku, who he averred has done for the people of Mbaise what the government couldn't even do for them in terms of activating their roads for easy accessibility, disclosing that Njoku also mounted solar lights in the palaces of every traditional ruler in Mbaise.

While calling on other well to do sons and daughters of Mbaise to emulate the selfless gestures of Njoku and join in alleviating their sufferings, he appealed to those empowered to use the money they received judiciously in order to succeed.

Expressing their joy and gratitude to the philanthropist who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PREZZO SHEDS INVESTMENT LTD, a multi national company that deals in health products, renders consultancy services and carries out Turnkey projects, Mr Chidi Agu and Madam Juliana on behalf of the beneficiaries prayed God's blessings upon Njoku, promising not to waste the money they have received, but use it wisely to better their lives and that of their families.
