ASCPN Lauds Southeast over outstanding performance among other Regions.

 


The Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) has praised the Southeast zone, led by Prof. Ifeyanywa Nsude, for what they described as an exceptional performance.


During the 11th Annual Conference held in Lagos, former National President Prof. Pate Umura, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Kashere, along with former General Secretary Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, Vice Chancellor of Caleb University, commended the Southeast zone for establishing local chapters and successfully organizing its annual conference within the region.


This recognition highlights the Southeast's commitment to fostering communication scholarship and professional development, aligning with ACSPN's mission to enhance the study and practice of communication across Nigeria. 


    The conference served as a platform for discussing advancements and challenges in the field, further solidifying the region's role in promoting effective communication practices.


ACSPN aims to support the process of shaping communication scholarship, training and practice in Nigeria. This involves complementing the efforts of other bodies with similar aims and building on the potentials of the field of communication in Nigeria, conscious of the country's needs for critical inputs from communication scholars and professionals to shape a future that will promote growth and development


The association is dedicated to promoting evidence-based communication practices in Nigeria. This includes enhancing public interest and visibility of the theories, methods, findings, and applications generated within the context of communication practice in the country


ACSPN seeks to facilitate the exchange of information on conditions that would improve the quality of communication research, training and practice in Nigeria. This involves promoting dialogue between ACSPN and national and international academic institutions and professional associations
