Trump gets more support from Nigerian Bishops to carry out Military Operation in the country

A renowned Pentecostal COGIC Bishop, Kenneth Obi has lent support to the US proposed Military Operation to flush out Terrorists in Nigeria as threatened by President Donald Trump.

Bishop Obi who is from Imo state Nigeria but resident in the US, described the proposal as a welcome development and long awaited by all meaningful Nigerians.

Recalling how the Islamic Terrorist groups like ISWAP and Boko Haram have killed thousands of innocent Nigerians, burnt residential buildings and churches, the American based Prelate suggested that since the Nigerian government has proven itself incapable of handling the issue of insecurity, they should allow the USA to assist the country to take care of the situation.

Bishop Kenneth Obi who is the chairman Citizens for Righteous and Social Justice, CRJ Imo state chapter, explained that people of all faiths have been victims of terrorism in Nigeria but maintained that the Christians are the most targeted.

He advised the Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and other government officials to shin politics and embrace realities by collaborating with the US Military in order to fight off insecurity in Nigeria.

"Nigerian government officials, this is not time for politics. Thank God the attention of the international community now focuses on the Nigerian security system. Let's work with the US Military to fight off terrorism in Nigeria which has persisted  for more than twenty years with loss of precious lives'", Bishop Obi said.

Kenneth Obi who is the presiding Bishop of the Divine Word International Church of God in Christ, Edo however appreciated the  US government for their concern towards saving the lives of Christians and other residents of Nigeria.

It can be recalled that  the US president Donald trump recently threatened to carry out military operation in Nigeria to flush out the Islamic extremists groups killing Christians in Nigeria and designated Nigeria as a country of concern.

Though the Nigerian government has disagreed with the US president; explaining that Christians are not the only victims of terror activities in Nigeria that Muslims are also killed.

Above all, Bishop Kenneth urges President Tinubu to welcome whatever assistance from the US to nip insecurity in the bud.
