CEO Target One, Odoeme Declares Full Support for City Boy Movement, Donates Two (2) Brand New 2026 Toyota Hiace busses.

 



The Chief Executive Officer of Target One Group and Founder of the Ike Odoeme Foundation, Mr Kennedy Ikenna Odoeme, has declared his full support for the City Boy Movement, describing the initiative as a platform that encourages youth engagement, unity and national development.


Mr Odoeme made the declaration when he joined thousands of residents and supporters from across the South East who gathered at the Hero square, Owerri, Imo State to welcome the patron of the movement, Hon Seyi Tinubu, during his visit to Imo State.


The City Boy Movement is a Nigerian youth-focused, grassroots organization aimed at promoting the policies, ideology, and re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (often referred to as "City Boy"). It bridges the gap between the government and the populace, mobilizing young people for active political participation rather than protests. 


The event, which attracted a large crowd of youths, political stakeholders and supporters, Under the leadership of Hon. Paschal Chibuike  Okechukwu fondly called Chief Priest, the  Director City Boy movement, Imo state, served as an opportunity for participants to reaffirm their commitment to youth inclusion in leadership and national development. Supporters of the movement described the gathering as a show of solidarity and a platform to encourage young people to remain actively involved in governance and civic engagement.


Speaking with some  group of  journalists in the state during the event, Mr Odoeme expressed his admiration for the vision of the City Boy Movement and its emphasis on youth participation in nation building. According to him, young people remain the backbone of Nigeria’s future and must be supported with opportunities, mentorship and platforms that will enable them to contribute meaningfully to society.


He stated that initiatives that inspire youths to become responsible leaders and active citizens deserve the support of well meaning individuals and organisations across the country.


In demonstration of his commitment to the movement, Mr Odoeme donated two (2) Brand New 2026 Toyota Hiace busses to support the activities and logistics of the City Boy Movement in the region. The buses, he explained, would assist in mobilising members and facilitating outreach programmes across communities.


The donation was received with excitement by supporters at the stadium, many of whom commended Mr Odoeme for his gesture and continued commitment to youth development and empowerment.


Mr Odoeme noted that his involvement in youth focused initiatives is consistent with the philosophy of the Ike Odoeme Foundation, which prioritises the empowerment of young people and women through skills development, entrepreneurship support and community based programmes.


He emphasised that when youths are given the necessary support and opportunities, they can become drivers of positive change within their communities and across the nation.


The visit of Hon Seyi Tinubu to Imo State and the enthusiastic reception by supporters highlighted the growing influence of youth driven movements across the country. Stakeholders at the event called for sustained collaboration between leaders, private sector actors and youth groups to ensure that the energy and creativity of young Nigerians are channelled towards productive ventures.


For Mr Odoeme, the gathering served as a reminder of the immense potential of Nigerian youths and the importance of collective efforts in building a better future.


He reaffirmed his readiness to continue supporting programmes and initiatives that promote youth empowerment, community development and national progress.
