2027: Labour Party Aspirant Solomon Oyijiudo Promises Effective Representation for Njaba, Isu, Nkwerre and Nwangele Constituencey

A Labour Party aspirant for the Njaba, Isu, Nkwerre and Nwangele Federal Constituency, Chief Solomon Oyijiudo, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 House of Representatives election, promising effective representation and accelerated development for the people of the constituency.

Chief Oyijiudo, who hails from Atta in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, made the declaration while speaking with a group of journalists in the state. He said his decision to join the race was driven by the desire to improve the welfare of the people and ensure that the constituency benefits from the dividends of democracy.

According to him, if elected to represent the constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, he will ensure that the people receive what is due to them through quality representation and people oriented programmes.

He said, “If you allow me to go there, I will make sure that what is due for our people is delivered. Support me and you will be happy that you sent me to the Green Chamber. I am going there to better the lives of our people and to ensure prompt delivery of development across the constituency.”

The aspirant noted that his commitment to the welfare of the people did not start with his political ambition, adding that he had already begun several empowerment and support initiatives for residents within the constituency.

He disclosed that he recently distributed five buses and twelve motorcycles to individuals as part of efforts to support economic activities and improve livelihoods. He also revealed that over the years he has been providing scholarships to students from the Njaba, Isu, Nkwerre and Nwangele Federal Constituency to encourage education and support families.

Responding to questions from journalists on whether he might defect to another political party after winning the election due to political pressure, Chief Oyijiudo firmly stated that he would remain loyal to the Labour Party.

“I will never leave the Labour Party for any other party for any reason. My commitment to the party is firm and I believe in its vision for a better Nigeria,” he said.

Speaking during the interaction, the chairman of the Labour Party in the area, Hon. Ugochukwu Charles, expressed confidence in the aspirant, noting that his activities and contributions to the people already speak for him.

Quoting from the Bible which states that people shall be known by their fruits, the party chairman said the aspirant had already begun to demonstrate good works.

“By their fruits we shall know them. He has already started bearing good fruits through his empowerment programmes and support for the people. We advise him to continue doing what is right and the party will give him the necessary support. Many are called but few are chosen,” he said.

Also speaking, a member of the National Working Committee of the Labour Party from Imo State, Mazi Excel Ochiama, urged the aspirant to remain committed to the political process and carry out all necessary consultations.

He also called on party faithful and voters in the constituency to support credible candidates who have the capacity to deliver quality representation.

Ochiama emphasised that the electorate must ensure that the right people are voted into positions of authority in order to promote development and good governance within the constituency.
