The Chairman of Ngor-Okpala in Imo State, Hon. Chika Ibekwe, has been honored with an Award of Security Excellence by the Ngor-Okpala Indigenes, Port Harcourt Branch.
Hon. Ibekwe received the award at the Ngor-Okpala Council Headquarters in Umuneke Ngor, in recognition of her outstanding leadership, strategic initiatives, and unwavering commitment to restoring peace, safety, and stability in the local government area.
Speaking on Tuesday after receiving the award, the council chairman commended the Ngor-Okpala Indigenes Port Harcourt Branch and pledged to continue promoting good governance and strengthening security across the LGA.
The soft-spoken chairman also urged the group to continue supporting the 3R Government and align with the APC-led administration.
Hon. Ibekwe noted that the award would serve as motivation for her to do even more. She expressed gratitude, adding that although she has received awards before, this was the first of its kind presented to her publicly in her office.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Richard from Umuneke stated that Hon. Ibekwe was honored for her remarkable leadership and dedication to ensuring peace and stability in Ngor-Okpala.
He added, “Today, Ngor-Okpala is peaceful, calm, and conducive for all.”
The group also appreciated the 3R Government led by His Excellency, Hope Uzodimma, for improving security in the area.
They pledged their continued support for the APC administration under his leadership.
