Dr. Adaora Onyechere Sydney-Jack*, a familiar and respected face on Nigerian television, seasoned development professional, passionate gender advocate and grassroots mobiliser, has been honoured with the prestigious Television Personality of the Year Award.
The award was presented at the glamorous 10th Anniversary edition of The Nigeria Most Influential Awards, held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, with the theme: “Celebrating Ten Years of Influence and Impact.”
According to the organisers, Dr. Sydney-Jack earned the recognition for distinguishing herself as an exceptional television personality with a commanding presence in Nigeria’s media space. Through her professionalism, eloquence, depth of knowledge and engaging on-screen delivery, she has consistently contributed to quality broadcasting and impactful public communication.
Over the years, Adaora has built a remarkable reputation for excellence in television presentation, combining confidence, substance and journalistic integrity to inform, educate and inspire her audience. Her work has also helped create meaningful conversations around national development, social issues, leadership and inclusion.
But beyond the television screen, Dr. Sydney-Jack has continued to use her voice and influence to raise others, particularly young women and girls.
She is the founder of the Young Female for Leadership Network (YFFLN) and the annual Yes She Can Summit, initiatives through which thousands of young women and girls across Nigeria and beyond have been mentored, trained and empowered to discover their potential, develop leadership capacity and take their place in society.
