Globally, a total of 500 youths are currently participating in the 2024 United People global Sustainability Leadership Class which will end tomorrow 17th June, 2024. Before the selection of this cohort, 13,000 youths from 168 countries applied, and 500 were fortunate enough to be accepted.
This 2024 class, which concludes tomorrow, spans 9 weeks of intensive training followed by 4 weeks of post-class activities. The UPG Sustainability Leadership class serves as a pivotal platform for attendees to engage directly with established leaders, learning from their experiences and exploring opportunities for collaborative action.
Throughout the course, participants have had the privilege to hear from existing UPG Sustainability Leaders, who have shared their personal journeys and the impactful initiatives they have led in the realm of sustainability. These stories not only motivate others to take initiative but also provide invaluable insights into the challenges and successes encountered by these young leaders.
By fostering such interactions and providing practical training, the class aims to empower its participants to become effective champions of sustainability in their own right, contributing to a global movement for positive change.
