Adeleke University celebrated its 10th convocation ceremony yesterday, but it was 19-year-old Tolulope Ekundayo who stole the show.
Ekundayo graduated with an impressive CGPA of 4.89/5.00, earning a first-class degree in Accounting. In addition to her academic excellence, she received 14 merit awards and is a pre-certified ICAN chartered accountant.
Having entered the university at just 15, Ekundayo's achievement comes amid a recent Nigerian government policy banning institutions from admitting students under 18.
Her success story highlights the exceptional talent present among young Nigerians and raises questions about the new policy's impact on such prodigious students.
