Former Councillors of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, Imo State, have commended the Sole Administrator of the Local Government Area,Hon Kizito Onuoha, for his effort to make the Umukabia/Umuneke Road motorable.
The ex lawmakers, who spoke when they paid a visit to the Solad in Umuneke the council headquarters, noted that the job he's doing on the road, is not only a clear sign of his inclination to good governance, but also pointer to his good apostleship of Gov Hope Uzodinma administration, since his effort is in tandem with the 3R the government 3R ideology.
The chairman of the forum, Hon Uchenna Aguguo, who spoke on behalf of the group during the visit, disclosed that the group was satisfied with the pragmatic and proactive leadership style of Hon Onuoha, attributing same to his vast grassroots leadership experience and indepth knowledge of the developmental challenges facing the local government area.
He gave example with the ongoing effort at Rehabilitating the major access road to the council headquarters in Umuneke, which he said has being in a serious state of disrepair, thereby adversely affecting free flow of people, goods and services to and from the secretariat, as well as communities and villages around it.
Hon Aguguo also praised his effort at building synergy and partnerships with various stakeholders and communities in the council, with the ongoing engagement he's having with them, pointing out that with him and generality of the people of the LGA on the same page and working collectively, meaningful growth and development would be achieved in the area.
He urged him to remain focused and steadfast on his stated mission to rewrite the governance story of the LGA, with the implemention of people oriented policies,programs and projects, assuring him of the total and unalloyed support and cooperation of the forum,in all his leadership and political aspirations.
In his speech, Hon Onuoha expressed deep appreciation to the forum for coming to identify with him, pointing out that the gesture was eloquent testimony that his original constituency, being a former councillor himself, were appreciative of his appointment by Gov Hope Uzodinma.
He lauded the members for the many sacrifices they have made towards nurturing and growing the the association, in the face of numerous economic and financial challenges and constraints, and promised to join force with them towards taking the association to enviable position.
He made it categorically that he only has one agenda as Sole Administrator, which is making sure he doesn't betray the enormous trust and confidence Gov Uzodinma bestowed on him,as shown by his decision to appoint him Sole Administrator.
He stated that he was poised to replicate Gov Uzodinma's governance philosophy of rehabilitation, recovery and reconstruction, which he has effectively leveraged to transform the socioeconomic landscape of the state,in Ngor Okpala with the aim of recovering and reconstruction broken down basic social amenities in communities in the council.
The Solad stressed that just as the chairman of the councillors forum pointed out in his speech,he has already started domesticating the rehabilitation mantra of the governor, with the palliative work being done on the road leading to the council, adding that he would spare no effort to make sure the people of the area, feel and taste the positive impacts of the 3R administration.
He solicited the continuing cooperation and partnership of the forum and that of the entirety of the people of the local government area as strives to enthrone good governance, promising with their support and grace of God,,he will meet their expectations.
