The leadership of the City Boy Movement in Imo State, on Thursday, June 19, paid a courtesy visit to the Imo State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Udoka Iwueke (JP), at the party’s state secretariat in Owerri.
The visit, led by the South East and Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Goodluck Nwaneri, marked what stakeholders described as a strategic step towards building synergy with the APC youth structure in Imo State ahead of future party mobilisation efforts and the 2027 general elections.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Iwueke commended the leadership and members of the City Boy Movement for their commitment to the party’s growth, describing the visit as a bold demonstration of their sincere intention to partner in grassroots mobilisation and youth engagement.
“Your visit today has marked a significant step towards building a synergy with my office for effective structure and party partnership. It is a demonstration of your sincere commitment to galvanise support for the progress and success of our dear party,” Iwueke stated.
He encouraged the youth to remain focused and proactive, stressing that young people remain the strength, creativity, and future of Nigeria.
“Our engagement in governance must go beyond elections. We must take ownership of our future by aligning with the transformative vision of the Renewed Hope administration,” he added.
Hon. Iwueke assured the movement of his office’s readiness to partner in any programme that seeks to promote the APC and advance youth involvement in governance. He charged the group not to lose hope in the Nigerian project, praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s courage in taking bold decisions to reset the nation for greatness.
In his remarks, the South East Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Goodluck Nwaneri, reiterated the movement’s unwavering loyalty to the party and its leadership. He pledged total commitment to mobilising support for the success of President Tinubu and the APC in future elections, especially the 2027 presidential election.
“We are here today to demonstrate our loyalty to the party and to work closely with the Youth Leader’s office to ensure the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Nwaneri stated.
Other dignitaries in attendance included the State Deputy Youth Leader of APC, Kingsley Onyekachi Unegbu (Koch); Okigwe Zonal Youth Leader, Promise Awuzie; and the Vice Executive Chairman of Owerri West Local Government Area and Special Adviser to the DG of City Boy Movement, Prince Osinachi Amakor.
