The long-awaited Owerri Citywide Crusade, organised by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Imo South, begins today, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Owerri City Primary School, Wetheral Road, opposite the Imo State Stadium, by 5:00 p.m.
The five-day spiritual and humanitarian event, themed “Great Redemption, Recovery, and Restoration through Jesus Christ,” is designed to bring both divine transformation and physical healing to residents of Owerri and its environs.
Speaking ahead of the opening session, the State Overseer of the Ministry, Pastor Emmanuel Okoro, said the crusade would be a life-changing encounter where God’s power will be revealed through salvation, healing, and deliverance.
According to him, the citywide campaign will also feature free medical services for all attendees as part of the church’s commitment to holistic ministry that addresses both spiritual and physical needs.
“Our ministry is not only preaching the gospel but also showing the love of Christ through practical care. We have assembled a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and health specialists who will offer free medical check-ups, consultations, and medications throughout the crusade,” Pastor Okoro stated.
He described the programme as an opportunity for people to experience the recovery of lost glory and the restoration of hope, noting that sin remains humanity’s greatest challenge. “The greatest problem of man is sin, and we are trusting God to save sinners, heal the sick, and set captives free,” he added.
The crusade will feature inspiring messages, soul-lifting worship led by gospel artiste Israel Anyaele, and powerful testimonies of divine intervention.
The event will run daily, with Lunch Hour with Jesus sessions by 1:00 p.m. and evening revival services by 5:00 p.m., culminating in a special citywide Sunday devotional service on November 16, 2025.
The programme is being moderated by Professor Kenneth Nnadi, the South East Zonal Coordinator of the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship and a university lecturer, who emphasised that the event is open to everyone irrespective of background or denomination.
Free transportation has been provided for participants coming from outside Owerri Municipal, while security agencies have been fully mobilised to ensure the safety of lives and property.
The Deeper Christian Life Ministry called on the people of Imo State to seize this opportunity to experience total recovery, healing, and restoration, declaring that “God is set to do a new thing in Owerri.”
“Come with faith and expectation,” Pastor Okoro urged, “for this is your time of redemption and recovery.”
