The Imo Unity Youths Movement, ably led by its State Coordinator, Comrade Stanley Mgbemena, on Monday, January 12, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Imo State Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Iwueke Hyginus Udoka (JP).
The visit, which took place at the Conference Hall of the APC State Secretariat, No. 47 Okigwe Road, Owerri, was aimed at formally identifying with the party leadership and reaffirming the Movement’s unwavering support for the APC and the administration of His Excellency, Governor Hope Odidika Uzodimma CON.
Speaking during the visit, the State Coordinator of the Imo Unity Youths Movement, Comrade Stanley Mgbemena, said the group deliberately chose to engage the party through the office of the State Youth Leader as a mark of respect and in line with established party protocol, describing the visit as an honourable step by the Movement familiarizing with the party. He noted that as a youth support group, it was important to align properly with the APC structure and contribute meaningfully to the party’s growth and success.
Comrade Stanley stressed that the Imo Unity Youths Movement remained committed to mobilising youths across the state and in support to the party and the Governor’s developmental agendas. He assured the party leadership of the group’s readiness to work harmoniously with other stakeholders to strengthen party unity and ensure sustained grassroots support.
In his response, the Imo APC State Youth Leader, Hon. Iwueke Hyginus Udoka (JP) on behalf of the party ably led by our courageous and results oriented party Chairman Sir MacDonald Ebere PhD, expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Imo Unity Youths Movement for the visit and their show of loyalty to the party. He described the gesture as timely and encouraging, especially as the party continues to consolidate its structures ahead of future political engagements.
Hon. Udoka charged members of the Movement to take advantage of the ongoing APC party e-registration and revalidation exercise to mobilize and sensitize mostly our Youths across LGAs and wards in the State to formally enroll, stressing that party participation starts with registration.
He emphasised that full participation in the party process would further strengthen youth inclusion and ownership within the APC in Imo State.
Finally encouraged them to continue supporting the leadership of the party both in the state and at National level, more importantly the administration of our dear Governor Distn. Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma CON, noting that sustained youth support remained critical to the success of the party’s programmes and policies.
