Police Kill Nine Kidnappers in Lagos Operation




Lagos, Nigeria (5th July 2024) - The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the killing of nine kidnappers during an operation in the Ladipo area of the state.


According to reports gathered by PUNCH Online, the kidnappers were attempting to abduct a person on Thursday evening when the police intervened and foiled their plan.


 The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspects were killed during a gunfight with the police.


The kidnappers were neutralised during a gun duel with the police.


 The kidnappers were nine in number and they wanted to abduct someone at Ladipo when the police foiled their operation. The incident happened around 8 pm on Thursday," Hundeyin said.




During the operation, the police recovered guns, bullets, and Army uniforms from the suspects. Pictures of the corpses were seen on a petrol vehicle at the command headquarters in the Ikeja area of Lagos.
