Journalist Who Predicted Supreme Court Ruling in Favor of Gov. Hope Uzodinma Calls on Imolites, Religious Leaders to Rise Against Injustice

January ,2nd 2018

Emeka Emmanuel Chukwuma, a renowned investigative journalist with SWAT Media, who previously predicted the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodinma as Governor of Imo State via a Supreme Court judgment against Rt. Hon. Emeka Iheodioha on January 14th, 2020 in the 2019 governorship Poll has issued a strong call to action for the people of Imo State and religious leaders to resist what he describes as a "looming injustice."

Chukwuma, who has long been vocal about political developments in the South-East, revisited the controversial 2020 Supreme Court decision which ousted Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and installed Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as governor. He alleged that prior to the judgment, secret meetings were held involving top politicians, members of the judiciary, and security operatives to orchestrate the removal of Ihedioha.

According to the journalist, the broader agenda behind this political shift was to establish a government in Imo State that would be complicit in what he described as “acts of terrorism, bloodshed, and the Islamization of Nigeria,” including support for violent groups such as Fulani herdsmen.

“This is beyond politics,” Chukwuma said in a recent broadcast. “It is about the soul of Imo State and the future of our children. What happened in 2020 was not just a legal maneuver—it was the beginning of a dangerous pattern. Imolites must rise. Religious leaders must speak out. We cannot remain silent in the face of systemic injustice.”

He urged the people of Imo, particularly community leaders, religious figures, and civil society groups, to stay vigilant and actively resist any political maneuverings that threaten the peace, justice, and autonomy of the state.

Chukwuma’s message has reignited conversations around the 2020 Supreme Court verdict, a ruling that remains one of the most debated judicial decisions in Nigeria's democratic history.

As of press time, there has been no official response from the Imo State Government or the Supreme Court regarding the fresh allegations raised by the journalist.
